Bringing some brilliant big names on board for her new record, including Dolly Parton and Eagles of Death Metal, the LP is set for release on August 11, via Kemosabe Records/RCA Records. You can check out the awesome new music video for new song ‘Praying’ below:

The video opens with the emotional following monologue from the singer, who has been battling a very public court case with producer Dr. Luke, who she accuses of emotionally and physically abusing her during their time working together. (He denies all of the accusations). She says: “Am I dead? Or is this one of those dreams? One of those horrible dreams that lasts forever. If I am alive, why? Why? If there is a God or whatever; something, somewhere, why have I been abandoned by everyone and everything I’ve ever known? I’ve ever loved? Stranded. What is the lesson? What is the point? God, give me a sign or I have to give up. I can’t do this anymore. Please just let me die. Being alive hurts too much.”

It’s fair to say that this is the most emotional, raw, honest and eye-opening release we’ve ever seen from Kesha. Stunning vocals collide with gorgeous cinematography throughout the video as the singer gives one of the most powerful performances a modern day pop singer has ever given.

Signing off the video with the words, ‘The Beginning’, it’s clear that this is just the start of KESHA’s revival. She may have been gone for quite some time and she still may be battling in the courts, but she’s ready to bring new music to her fans, channeling her emotions into a track that will no doubt inspire fans who have ever felt something similar to the star to plough on and fight for their survival.

KESHA is back, and she’s here to stay. We can’t wait to hear the rest of her forthcoming record.
