Kesha has been treating her fans to slices of her new material every couple of weeks lately, gearing up for the release of her brand new album ‘Rainbow’. This week, it’s the turn for fourth new song ‘Hymn’ to be released, and while there’s no accompanying music video for the song, it’s a gorgeous little piece of the singer/songwriter’s soul. Listen below:
Writing an essay about the song on Mic, Kesha says that the track is for those “who feel like they don’t fit in, people who feel like they don’t have a hymn.” Having written the song with her mother Pebe Sebert and songwriters Cara Salimando, Jonny Price and Ricky Reed, Kesha continues to share her real life emotions and personality with her fans.
Her new music is undoubtedly the best she’s ever recorded. It all feels so raw and genuine and we imagine Kesha is prouder than ever of peeling back her many layers and letting everybody in. For all that she continues to go through, she is a true example of the ‘Warrior’ she sang about all those years ago.
Kesha’s new album ‘Rainbow’ will be released on August 11.
