Kesha is now taking on Sony Music as well as Dr. Luke in her legalities, following her filing of a sexual assault lawsuit against the latter in October 2014. In new claims filed on Monday June 8, the singer added the company to her lawsuit stating that they should also be held liable for enabling the "abusive relationship".

Filed in Los Angeles, Sony Music have been named as a defendant who allegedly "ratified, condoned and encouraged Dr. Luke's unlawful conduct" according to reports from the New York Daily News.

Kesha's original paperwork saw her speak of how she was signed by the music producer when she was 18, being promised the music career she'd always dreamed of. She then says that Dr. Luke turned on her, drugged her, raped her and threatened her life, causing her to suffer from bulimia.

It says that Dr. Luke forced her to snort a drug before getting on an airplane and then "continously forced himself" on her.

The new additions claim that Sony Music provided corporate resources to aid Dr. Luke's career and knew all about how he was "treating female entertainers under his tutelage and supervision".

Dr. Luke, real name Lukasz Gottwald, is fighting back against the claims and filed his own breach of contract lawsuit shortly after Kesha's lawsuit was filed. He got a judge to also unseal secret deposition transcripts from a separate court proceeding in which Kesha denied Dr. Luke had carried out sexual conduct towards her.

Testifying under oath in 2011 in the transcript obtained, Kesha said: "Dr. Luke never made sexual advances at me."

Kesha's lawyer Mark Gerago hit back at this, dismissing the transcript and saying it only further proved how Kesha lived in fear of Dr. Luke, afraid to tell the truth.

Sony Music are yet to comment on their newfound involvement in the case.
