Lenny Kravitz is to take to the stage for a performance alongside this year's Super Bowl halftime show headliner, Katy Perry.
The pop sensation revealed the news and noted that he was just the "first" artist to be announced to join her at the event.
Speaking at an interview at halftime during a game which saw Ravens versus Patriots, Katy explained: "My first special guest is going to be an incredible rock and roll icon, a guitar god. I'm gonna have Lenny Kravitz on the show."
She went on to gush about the singer and labelled him "the king of cool".
"He's got so much style and this certain, how do you say it, je ne sais quoi... he's the coolest!
"He's the king of cool and he's going to make me so much more cooler."
November saw the announcement that Katy would perform at the NFL final, following in the footsteps of Beyoncé, Madonna and Michael Jackson.
Despite it being just a month away, Katy seemed calm and admitted all of the details hadn't yet been finalised.
"We are in the process of working it out."
