At just 19 years old, Jonathan Antoine has already cemented himself as one of the biggest names on the classical music scene, following his remarkable performances on Britain's Got Talent back in 2012.
Now the tenor is proud to announce his solo debut album 'Tenore', produced by multi-Grammy nominated music producer Anna Barry.
"We had a most amazing journey together, but the time is right now to explore different musical paths. We're very happy for each other." he says about going it alone, after a successful two years with Charlotte Jaconelli.
Speaking about the new record he says: “I have chosen ‘La donna e mobile’ from Verdi’s Rigoletto as the opera is such huge fun! I was first introduced to it by Sara Reynolds, my teacher from The Junior Royal Academy Of Music, so it has wonderful associations for me. I have been singing ‘Panis Angelicus’ ever since the age of 13. I was taught it by Jenny Ewington, my very first singing teacher, so it has extra special meaning for me. Just to ring the changes, I have included ‘Love Changes Everything’ on the album and I can’t wait for you to hear it!”
