John Newman is writing songs for Rihanna's new album as well as one of the world's leading DJs, Calvin Harris.
Newman released his debut album 'Tribute' in 2013, and revealed he's been in the studio with Calvin working on new track's for Rihanna's eighth LP.
"We started to look at tracks to put together for Rihanna." he said, speaking to Billboard.
Calvin had previously said following his smash hit single 'We Found Love' with Rihanna that he wasn't involved in the new project.
"No, I'm not on the Rihanna album.
"I did a few things for it but they don't get back to you, there are a lot of people involved. ... It's okay because I'm working on my stuff and it's going fine."
John admitted however he and the producer are teaming up for his own music following the success of their last collaboration, 'Blame'.
"Then we have booked some time to work on my album.
"It feels like a Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars kind of thing, where I work with somebody for a long time. I've had more time to think and pull it all together on this record. And hopefully, I'll have more of a presence in America."
