Joe Jonas says his fans will be able to easily discover just who was the inspiration behind a forthcoming new DNCE song, after being asked by an Entertainment Tonight journalist to clarify a tweet he made in February.

He had tweeted: "Always fun writing a song that's gonna p**s someone off", and now he's fanned the flames of that fire by confirming vaguely that the song has been written about somebody the masses will likely recognise.
Jonas told Entertainment Tonight: "As of right now, you'll definitely know who it's about. But sometimes you have to sugarcoat it so it's not so obvious."
Fans have already speculated that it could be a track about ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid, who he dated for a few months in 2015 but split with ahead of her relationship with Zayn Malik.
The pair were so close that Hadid even directed the music video for DNCE's single 'Cake By The Ocean', released in September 2015 in the US.
"Songwriting is an artist's way of expressing their journey and their personal life," Jonas explained. "I don't really do much speaking on my personal life, so the fact that I get to probably answer a few questions - people are wondering what I'm thinking about - so it's nice to be able to put that out there."
Though there's no scheduled date for DNCE's full album as of yet, Jonas did tease: "I would say August, late August - and we're just grinding away in the studio.
"I'm going into the studio right after this (the WE Day celebration in Los Angeles on April 7) to finish a track, so there's a lot of exciting new music I've been working on that isn't on the EP ('SWAYY')."
