Jessie Ware's 'Devotion' is "accidentally" sexy.
The 'Wildest Moments' singer acknowledges her soothing voice helps set an intimate mood, but never consciously planned for her debut album to turn out that way.
She told Radio.com: "It was kind of accidental. The way I delivered my vocals, I wanted it to be quite hushed and quite subtle and I wanted to be able to exist in a room where people could get it on. Not, like, in the room, but sonically.
"It definitely wasn't planned to make sexy songs, but it was just about the delivery. I just didn't want to ram my voice in people's ears."
Jessie added she's likely to team with many of the same people who helped her write 'Devotion' - including Julio Bashmore and Kid Harpoon - when she goes back to the studio later this year to work on new songs.
She added: "I don't want to turn my back on all the people that supported me for this kind of music. And I'm proud of the music I've been making.
"But I guess maybe I'll be bit more confident with my next album. Maybe take a few more risks. Use my voice in a new way."
Jessie performed last night (12.06.13) at the Cutty Cargo London event, alongside Duke Dumont, Miss Polly Rae and Tom Oxley. The show was part of a series of global events by whisky brand Cutty Sark which is aim to bringing together the hottest talent in each of the cities it visits.
