Critically-acclaimed British singer/songwriter Jessie J returned this week, with the stunning yet simple music video for her latest release, ‘Not My Ex’. Check out the gorgeous visuals which see Jessie stripped back more than ever before below:
Having recently announced her upcoming album ‘R.O.S.E.’ – an acronym for Realisations, Obsessions, Sex and Empowerment’ – the singer then dropped this emotional new track to tease a little of what fans should expect when the record hits shelves.
Now gearing up for her UK, European and US tour, she’s enjoying an almost full string of sold-out dates, with only Berlin’s Huxleys Neue Welt still having tickets available for anyone who’d like to go and see her live.
Reviews for her British shows that have already taken place seem to be placing the star back at the top of her pinnacle following a short break from showbusiness. With an unrivalled talent and ability to turn her vocals into some wonderfully addictive earworms, she seems to once more be campaigning for majorly important topics.
At her London show this week she said: “I’ve spoken about this song [‘Nobody’s Perfect’] a lot, there’s always a fresh pair of ears. You have to know more in life what you don’t want to find or what you do, so you have to go through pain, you have to have balance. Don’t be afraid not to be perfect. Don’t allow body shapes to become a trend, don’t allow thoughts to be someone else’s.”
Standing for hope in her comeback, Jessie has not only stripped back in the video for her new song, but in everywhere that she now goes. Engaging with her fans whenever possible and likely hoping to hit the charts once more, we think Jessie is somebody that everybody should give a chance.
‘R.O.S.E.’ is set for official release in 2018.
