Jake Bugg has promised to release new music soon.
The 'Lightning Bolt' hitmaker turned 23 on Tuesday (28.02.17) and to mark the special day he teased his thousands followers that he is in the studio working on new music following his third studio LP 'On My One', which was released last year.
Thanking his fans for their birthday messages, he wrote on Twitter: "Thank you for all the birthday messages I'm going to take this opportunity to thank you all for the support over the years. New music soon. (sic)"
Jake recently bemoaned the fact that any artist can "get a number one now".
The dark-haired hunk - who secured a number one in the UK with his self-titled debut album in October 2012 - doesn't worry about where he places in the charts as he thinks it's much easier to secure the top spot now.
He said: "Anyone can get a number one now. You only have to sell, like, 20,000 albums or something.
"If you speak to another band and you say, 'Oh, I had a number one album,' they'll be like, 'yeah, so did we, and John had one last week as well.' It's not really an achievement any more. You know, the charts are the charts. I can't really get excited about anything I see in them."
Anyone expecting the singer/songwriter to put out a collaboration may have a while to wait, as he previously revealed he won't ask another artist to work with him as he expects them to come to him.
He told BANG Showbiz: "Most of the people of I'd like to collaborate with probably aren't alive anymore. We'll just have to wait and see. I'm not the kind of person to go asking people. If people want to ask me and they have a pretty decent idea then I'll maybe be up for it."
