Jake Bugg has announced he'll be releasing his brand new album 'On My One' via Virgin EMI on June 17.
Lead single 'Gimme The Love' comes a little sooner on April 15 and is described as "an intoxicating mix of funky drums and wah-wah guitar."
Taking its name from a saying in Jake's Nottingham hometown, the album "mainly has been me on my own", says Jake.
"I saw this as the logical next step in my development as a songwriter. It was a challenge but something I felt I had to do."
Writing all 11 of the songs on the collection, Jake even played most of the instruments and produced most of the LP, with a little help from Jacknife Lee on three tracks.
After some huge success which saw his 2012 debut self-titled album go double platinum and his 2013 follow-up 'Shangri La' smash into the top five, Jake's hoping his new album will resonate as loudly as the former two.
Recorded not only in Nottingham and London but Los Angeles, Jake says: "Blues is my favourite genre. Whether it's soul or hip hop, it all stems from the blues. To me the blues just means singing your emotions and expressing your pain so others can feel it. That's the beauty of music. If nothing else, I'd like to think I've done that with this record."
