Mourners were led in singing by Eric Clapton yesterday as Jack Bruce was laid to rest.
Following his death last month after suffering from liver disease, the bassist was given his send-off at Golders Green Crematorium in north London, with mourners including Cream bandmates Eric and Ginger Baker, Procol Harum frontman Gary Brooker and Roxy Music guitarist Phil Manzanera.
Friend of Jack, Pete Brown shared a number of stories at the funeral, with wife Margrit also paying tribute to his children Malcolm, Natasha and Kyla who all added their own reminiscences.
A poem written by his son Corin was also read, with a musical tribute penned by Eric played to the mourners at the service.
Jack was described by the order of service as "beloved husband, father, granddad and all round legend".
One of the bassist's bass guitars was on display along with floral tributes in the shape of the bass clef symbol.
