Iggy Pop and Adam Ant will mark 40 years of punk at The Isle of Wight Festival 2016.
The punk legends will be joined by The Damned, Buzzcocks, The Godfathers and The Sex P***ed Dolls to celebrate the genre reaching the milestone.
The iconic festival held at Seaclose Park, Newport already sees a stellar line-up including, Queen + Adam Lambert, Stereophonics and Faithless who are set to perform between June 9 and June 12.
Iggy Pop will perform on the Main Stage after successfully touring around the world with The Stooges for the last decade and continuing to fly the flag for punk.
And punk pioneers Adam Ant have vowed to play in full their album 'Kings of the Wild Frontier', which was a number one best-seller in 1980 and was awarded Best British Album at the 1982 BRIT Awards.
Elsewhere, Goth rockers The Damned will treat fans to a plethora of tracks from their extensive back catalogue and
Buzzcocks will also celebrate four decades as a band, bringing their hot riffs to the Isle of Wight.
And not forgetting rockers The Godfathers consisting of brothers Peter Coyne and Chris Coyne, who will bring their electrifying show to the festival, along with five-piece all girl group, The Sex Pissed Dolls, who are the newest of the lot and have quickly amassed a committed following since forming in 2014.
