Idris Elba has had to pull out of his scheduled Glastonbury performance as he has filming commitments.
The 43-year-old actor-and-musician was due to play a DJ set at the world famous festival on Worthy Farm in Somerset, South West England this weekend but has been told he needs to be on set to shoot scenes for his new movie 'The Dark Tower', an adaptation of Stephen King's series of novels set in a magical world.
Idris - who plays the gunslinger Roland Deschain in the movie - posted a video on Facebook apologising to his fans for cancelling his set, and admitted he was very much looking forward to returning to Glastonbury again after spinning records there last year.
In the video, he said: "It is with a very heavy heart that I let you know I can't make it this year. I had to cancel my gig at the very last minute and I'm really sorry. It's not my fault. I tell you it's my film schedule, it changed at the last minute and I had to cancel.
"Last year I had a wicked time. A lot of you came out and heard me DJ for the first time, and I was so looking forward to coming back and doing it again.
"Go, have a wicked time, enjoy yourselves, it's going to be amazing this year, massive, massive line-up but I can't be there."
Idris stars in 'The Dark Tower' with Matthew McConaughey, Tom Taylor and Katheryn Winnick.
