Guns N' Roses will headline next year's Download Festival with its iconic reformed line-up.
The trio of original members, singer Axl Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan, reunited in 2016 for a tour, the first time they had all been part of the band since 1996.
The 'Welcome To The Jungle' rockers will be bringing their greatest hits to Donington Park in Leicestershire, England, to annual festival over the weekend of June 8-10.
The Saturday night headline slot will be this iteration of the group's first UK festival appearance, and the Download boss Andy Copping is delighted to have Guns N' Roses at the metal event.
The promoter said: "It's great to have this iconic line up of Guns N' Roses headlining at Download. I am sure I am not alone when I say I have been wanting this to happen for years. It will be an incredible show and will be one of the highlights of the Download weekend!"
The news follows previous confirmation that Avenged Sevenfold and Ozzy Osbourne will also be headlining the event next year.
Last year, Ozzy's band Black Sabbath - also comprised of Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi - played one of their last ever shows at the festival, and the 68-year-old rocker is showing no signs of wanting to retire anytime soon as he is set to carry on with his solo career.
Andy added: "We're unbelievably excited to have Ozzy as one of the headliners next year. Already hailing from the midlands, Ozzy Osbourne is no stranger to Download, and after Black Sabbath closed the festival in 2016, how could I not ask The Prince Of Darkness to come back all on his own? The Download family are without a shadow of a doubt, in for a treat."
Further acts are expected to be announced in the coming months.
