Guns N' Roses have been confirmed to headline Coachella Festival.
The band members' involvement in the musical event had been rumoured for several months, but was officially announced on Tuesday (05.01.16).
Alongside a host of emojis, Axl Rose took to Twitter after the announcement, writing: "Ok,ok... It's "confirmed!" Guns N' Roses is Headlining Coachella 2016!! See Everyone There!!"
The line-up for the band has yet to be revealed, but it is rumoured that the band will reunite its original members - Axl, Slash and bassist Duff McKagan.
It has also been reported that the band are planning a tour, but guitarist Richard Fortus previously revealed the band's future was "up in the air".
He said: "The current state of Guns N' Roses is pretty up in the air. The last I heard they wanted to finish up the recordings that we have and put them out next year and start touring. But it has been a while since I've heard from anybody in that camp as far as management or Axl. So I really don't know."
Coachella will therefore mark the first time the band have performed together in two decades.
Other names among the line-up for 2016 festival include DJ Calvin Harris, who will headline the closing night.
Organisers are sure to be hoping Calvin's famous girlfriend Taylor Swift will be supporting her beau at the event - drawing more attention to the festival.
Headlining the opening night will be LCD Soundsystem, which will see the first time the band have performed since retiring in 2011.
