George Michael had reportedly been working on releasing his new album – on which he worked with producer Naughty Boy – at some point in 2017.
Dying of heart failure and found on Christmas morning (December 25) according to longtime manager Michael Lippman, the pop star was found at home and was said to have “passed away peacefully”.
Naughty Boy had told the BBC earlier this year: “He’s [George] got an album coming out next year, and he’s going to be doing something for my album as well. I can’t wait. I don’t know what to expect. And, to be honest, he’s more mysterious than anyone else so I’m actually excited.”
Beginning his career in the 80s, George Michael rose to fame in music duo Wham! alongside Andrew Ridgeley, who posted to his Twitter following the sad news:
