2012’s biggest American breakthrough band, fun., has today announced details of a UK tour, which will take place this October.
The dates kick off at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on October 2, following with shows in Birmingham, Dublin and Manchester, before finishing up at Glasgow’s O2 ABC on October 8.
It’s already been an incredible year for the New York trio, having swept up the biggest-selling US single of 2012 with ‘We Are Young’, which has now sold over 4 million copies in the states.
The Radio 1 A List single debuted at #3 in the UK singles chart and the official video has now had over 40 million hits on the band’s YouTube channel! The UK tour will follow two sold out London shows at XOYO (May 14) and Heaven (July 9).
Their new album Some Nights (produced by Jeff Bhasker (Beyonce, Kanye West, JAY-Z)) will release here on May 21 and incorporates eclectic elements, involving 70’s pop, ornate orchestrations, modern rock and even hip-hop.
