Frank Ocean fans were once again left disappointed at the back-end of last week, as Friday August 5 came and went without the release of his forthcoming second studio album, 'Boys Don't Cry'.
Expected to be released exclusively through Apple Music, the record never surfaced and no statement or explanation was given by any of the parties involved.
Now Ocean's fans are coming to their own conclusions about why the LP has been delayed, using Travis Scott's experience with Apple Music and his latest album 'Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight'.
Scheduled to drop that album along with a livestream performance of his song 'Pick Up the Phone' last Friday, there was no sign of either of those on Apple Music on the day.
Scott took to his Instagram account to explain that "technical difficulties" were to blame for the absence of both and said that the plans had been pushed back to this week on Friday, August 12.
Reddit users suggested that those same 'technical difficulties' are to blame for the lack of Ocean's sophomore release.
'Boys Don't Cry' was first expected to drop over a year ago in July 2015, but when it failed to arrive fans speculated it would be released at the end of July of this year instead.
There were also rumours that the album was being pushed back for a November release.
