Fleur East has signed a record deal with Simon Cowell's Syco Records.
After finishing second on The X Factor to Ben Haenow, Cowell's decided to snap up the future star and hopes her debut album will be released later this year.
Speaking of the signing, Simon said: "Fleur proved what a star she was on the show last year and we now look forward to starting work on her record".
The company confirmed the news on social media, writing: "BREAKING NEWS: Fleur East signs to Syco. The X Factor finalist will release her debut album later this year."
The contract is said to have been finalised last week, with the head judge particularly keen to oversee Fleur's career.
A source explained to The Sun newspaper: "It's unprecedented for Simon to personally sign one of the runners-up. But it's a sign he believes Fleur is going to be a massive star."
Audiences were wowed by the star when she sang her own rendition of 'Uptown Funk', with Simon naming it "the greatest" performance he'd ever seen on the show. The cover went to the top spot on iTunes just 24 hours later.
