Fergie has admitted she's taking her time with her new solo album, because she's determined to "get things right" not only for her fans, but for herself by the time it's released.
Making her comeback in July of this year with her single 'M.I.L.F.$', Fergie delivered the first slice of material from her upcoming LP 'Double Dutchess', which hasn't yet been given an official release date.
Speaking in a new interview with PopCrush, Fergie explained: "I just want to get things right and I just don't want a whole bunch of random songs out there. I just wanted it to really mean something 'cause it's my second (solo ) album."
The second single from the album, 'Life Goes On' was released in November, and Fergie insists that her album is going to be more like this track, and more intimate than her previous releases.
She said: "It's totally different, because with the Peas, we're all just partying and going to clubs.
"With this, there's some of that on the album, but there's also that part where it's like, I get to open the pages of my journal and let people really in.
"It's like serving a meal, I didn't just want it to be one thing."
