Ellie Goulding wants Sir David Attenborough to make an appearance on her next album.

The 'Burn' singer would love to incorporate the 88-year-old broadcasting legend and naturist's dulcet tones into a track on her next record because she loves his wildlife programmes so much.

She told The Sun newspaper: "I've written a lot of songs about relationships and break-ups. I feel like my next album is going to be about the beginning of the universe and also watching documentaries and loving David Attenborough - his voice and his knowledge is amazing.

"If I could somehow utilise his voice in a recording with me, it would be awesome - a chance to make a point with my music and his authority."

Ellie has been quietly working on the follow-up to 2012's 'Halcyon', which was re-released as an expanded version titled 'Halcyon Days' last summer.

The 27-year-old star has been plagued with rumours about her love life in recent months, being linked to McBusted's Dougie Poynter, One Direction stud Niall Horan and American fitness instructor Sam Karl.

She said last year: "I won't ever talk about my love life anymore because it's always then gone wrong when I have in the past."
