'Save the Children', a leading organisation who work in more than 120 countries to save children's lives have launched a powerful new film in aid of Syria's children, and Ellie Goulding has lent her support to the campaign by providing the soundtrack to the video.
The video for the song, titled 'I Know You Care' has been created by 'Bridget Jones, the Edge of Reason' director Beeban Kidron, and explores the imagery of innocent minors caught up in the crisis in Syria.
Now in its third year of civil war, nearly 7,000 children have died during the Syrian conflict, with more than two million children being forced to leave their homes and another million leaving the country completely.
CEO for Save the Children Justin Forsyth has recently returned from a trip to the Syrian border and has said, "Children in Syria are suffering unimaginable horror and witnessing atrocities no one should ever see. They speak of snipers on the roof tops of their homes, tanks rolling down streets where they once played and sleeping in the fields to avoid nightly shelling.
"They are desperate, frightened and all too often alone."
Goulding, who says the campaign is a "vital cause" and that she would do anything to help is urging people to support Syria's children by watching the video and downloading the track on iTunes.
The hashtag #song4syria should also be used on social media to bring further light to the cause.
