Ellie Goulding has released her "epic" 'Bridget Jones's Baby' soundtrack 'Falling For You'.
The 'Burn' hitmaker was thrilled to be asked to record the song for forthcoming film, which sees Renée Zellweger return as the titular character for a third outing, and was drawn to the franchise because it's "amazingly British and awesome".
Asked how she got involved, she said : "I often get people asking me if I want to do films because I think people know I'm very interested in being part of film soundtracks.
"I just love the idea of being part of something quite timeless and kind-of being part of a soundtrack to something epic.
"And depending on what film it is, and so when they said it was Bridget, and obviously, you know, it's an institution and it's just, like, it's so amazingly British and awesome.
"And I watched the first two films, obviously, back in the day and, like, I still watch them now.
"And so as soon as they said Bridget I was like "absolutely!" And then when I found out about the story and how things with her have sort of developed, it was just really lovely, but still, you know, still funny. So yeah, that's why I got involved."
The 29-year-old pop beauty - who split up with her boyfriend Dougie Poynter earlier this year - sings about heartbreak on the song.
She sings: "This love still got me rolling the dice... Don't let me lose."
The soundtrack appears at the end of the movie and helps with the film reach its climax.
Ellie said: "The song is kind-of the conclusion of everything, kind-of the summary of what's happened in the film. It doesn't give anything away..."
'Bridget Jones's Baby' will be in cinemas from September 16 and 'Falling For You' is out now.
