Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding will perform at Unity - A Concert For Stephen Lawrence.

The 26-year-old pop star will appear alongside stars including Rizzle Kicks, Jessie J, Tinie Tempah, and Ed Sheeran to mark 20 years since the murder of Stephen Lawrence, who was stabbed to death in a racially-motivated attack in London in 1993.

Ellie said: "I am thrilled to be joining the line up alongside amazing artists for such a worthwhile event - to be able to use music for a good cause is a dream for me so I hope that everyone who comes has a fantastic night and that the message will help to make positive and meaningful changes to peoples' lives.

"This is about all of us uniting for social empowerment."

Radio DJs Reggie Yates and Nick Grimshaw will host the fundraising show for the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust which was founded by Stephen's mother, Doreen, and encourages disadvantaged youths to enter into professional careers.

The line-up also includes 'Next to Me' singer Emeli Sande who admitted she felt encouraged to take part due to the impact the shocking event of Stephen's murder had on her.

Speaking at the launch of the Unity Concert, Emeli told BANG Showbiz: "I remember I was quite young when it happened. By coming from a mixed race family it was an issue that we spoke about, the issues you face being mixed race and this being something that happened in our country so definitely, it had a big impact on my family.

"This is the ultimate goal no matter what colour, age, what socio-economic background you come from, people want to be free. And this is why I'm involved."

The Unity Concert will take place on September 29 at London's The O2 venue.
