Drake and Apple are collaborating on the release of an exclusive studio album from the rapper, who appeared onstage yesterday (June 8) as part of Apple's opening WWDC presentation.
Announcing his partnership with the new Connect publishing platform, this is to be the first major promotion for Apple's new streaming service, aiming to unite artists and fans through a variety of exclusives.
Behind-the-scenes videos, lyrics and remixes will all be uploaded by artists through the Connect service.
Speaking at WWDC, Drake said: "Focus on your body of work. Instead of having to post your stuff on these different and sometimes confusing places, it's all in one place: Connect."
Drake has partnered with iTunes in the past to release his surprise album 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late' just six months after U2's record 'Songs of Innocence' was given away for free to all of its users.
No details surrounding the release of Drake's exclusive Connect album have yet been revealed.
Apple Music will launch on June 30 as a 24-hour broadcast service in over 100 countries, priced at $9.99 monthly.
