Dolly Parton has added a whole host of European dates for her 2014 tour.

The legendary '9 to 5' singer is bringing her 'Blue Smoke World Tour' to England, Ireland, Scotland, Denmark, Germany and Norway next year in both June and July.

She said: "Every time I come to Europe I'm just as excited as I was my very first time, which was many, many years ago.

"I love that part of the world and I especially love the fans.

"We always have such a good time and I've put together a lot of things for this show that I think the fans will love."

The shows will follow 67-year-old Dolly's appearances in Australia, which are planned for February. She last performed in Europe during the 'Better Day World Tour' in 2011.

She added: "We had not planned to come back so soon, but we got so much fan mail and such a great reaction that I thought 'Well, why not. If they're having a good time and we always do, let's just do it.' "

The tour will be in support of Dolly's latest album, 'Blue Smoke', which will be released soon.

Meanwhile, the country star narrowly escaped serious harm when she was involved in a minor car accident yesterday (21.10.13). Dolly was taken to a local hospital after the incident, but discharged shortly afterward, and reassured fans on twitter she was alright.

She wrote: "I was in a fender bender this morning here in Nashville, but I am all good... Just a little tired and sore. Resting at home now! (sic)".
