Diplo says that he has helped Justin Bieber find his new sound, with the 36-year-old producer and DC teaming up with the young star to work on his new studio album.
With many details surrounding the LP being kept secret for now, Diplo revealed that he and Justin worked together on single 'What Do You Mean?', Justin's recent comeback track.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Diplo explained: "I just listened to his music, advised and made adjustments to new songs. I helped with the overall feel of the sound that we started with Jack U and raced a lot of ioHawks in the studio."
The pair recently worked together alongside Skrillex on number one song 'Where Are U Now', which stormed the charts upon its release earlier this year.
Justin has been working hard on the follow-up to 2012 record 'Believe', and a source says that this third album will be a more in-depth exploration of Justin and an emotional offering.
EW were told: "There's some personal stuff and some ballads. There's some spoken-word moments with him literally talking about what he's going through in his life. It's all about the experience of being Justin Bieber.
Speaking in August to a crowd of his fans, Justin assured them that they'll like the new music.
He said: "My music is very awesome, actually. I've been working really hard on it. I've been taking my time. I haven't put out an album in over three years."
