Diplo has teased new Major Lazer music is to be released in January.
The 37-year-old American DJ - who makes up one third of the electronic trio, also comprised of Jillionaire and Walshy Fire - shared with his 1.9 million followers that they will be dropping new tunes after sharing a preview of an unreleased song featuring rapper PartyNextDoor on Snapchat.
Diplo - whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz - wrote on Twitter: "New major lazer comes out in January. (sic)"
Following Diplo's tweet, he has announced dates for a solo tour in Australia and has teased that there will be four new songs from the 'Lean On' hitmakers.
He told Triple j music: "I haven't done any solo shows in Australia in venues for like eight years because I've only been playing the festival circuit so I wanna come back and do more of a club show.
"I've got some new Major Lazer records coming out at the top of the year... an Afrobeat record we did, some hip hop songs I've done, about four tracks, and some club stuff. Doing everything."
Diplo previously said he wants artists to make songs that last "a lifetime".
He admitted he thinks electronic dance music is in "decline" and urged musicians to create songs that will last "longer than the summer" and not just for "another radio cycle".
Speaking about the music industry, he previously said: "Some of these [artists] are great that are part of [dance music] and make great music but for the most part you already see that it's in decline.
"There hasn't been a dance song on the radio except Calvin Harris and Rihanna this while year.
"[You have to think] What's going to make people think about my band or my songs longer than the summer? You know, that's what you should think about your position. How can this song last another lifetime not just another radio cycle?"
Major Lazer's last big release was 'Cold Water' with Justin Bieber.
