David Bowie is releasing a box-set featuring an unreleased version of 'All the Madmen'.
Released in 1970, the track originally appeared on 'The Man Who Sold the World', but an edit of the track which was made for the US release but was ultimately unused is now set to appear on a 10 album/12 CD, 10 album/13-piece vinyl set.
The collection - titled 'David Bowie Five Years 1969 - 1973' - has been made to celebrate the star's first ever performance in 1971 at Glastonbury Fair, now known as Glastonbury Festival, and will be the first in a series of career-spanning box sets.
Including all of the material officially released by the 'Space Oddity' singer at the beginning of his career, the package also includes tracks which have never before featured on CD or digitally, with a brand new two-disc compilation named 'Re:Call 1' featuring non-album singles, single versions and B-sides.
Elsewhere on the record will be the original version of 'Holy Holy' which was only ever released on the original 1971 Mercury single.
Released on September 25, the box set will be accompanied by a 128-page book in the CD box and an 84-page book in the vinyl set documenting David's rise to fame in rarely seen photos and notes from album producers Tony Visconti and Ken Scott.
