Dave Grohl mixes Advil with all the booze before hitting the stage with Foo Fighters.
The 'Monkey Wrench' rocker has revealed he makes sure he has some of the headache relief tablets before downing shots of Jagermeister and low alcohol beer Coors Light to get him ready to rock.
Listing his hardcore pre-gig ritual, the 49-year-old star told California's 955KLOS radio station's FHF show: "An hour and a half before the gig, I take three Advil.
"About 50 minutes before the gig, I hit my first Jag [Jagermeister], I finish the Coors Light, I get another Coors Light going...
"Now there's a bunch of people around, so I'm throwing shots at everybody and I'm taking shots with everyone in the room.
"The next Coors Light is down, I got a cold one.
"Now it's about maybe 20 minutes before going on.
"I've had three or four shots of Jag and three Coors Lights.
"Then they sort of clear the room and we get 15 minutes to ourselves. This is bad!
"This is how I've spent every night of the last year and a half.
"That's why I'm not scared of the Malört (strong liquor drink). I've seen worse."
The former Nirvana drummer said that if he doesn't take the Advil first, he has a pounding headache and turns into a "screaming" mess.
He added: "If I don't take the Advil, I get a screaming headache for screaming my balls off for the next three hours."
Meanwhile, Dave recently admitted he thinks he has blown Foo Fighters' chance of performing at the Super Bowl.
The 'Learn To Fly' hitmakers - completed by Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee - have yet to grace the iconic half time show at the annual sporting event and Dave thinks they may never get the gig after he drunkenly told the organisers that he "didn't want to do it anymore".
He said: "I've had multiple conversations over the years with them where they say, 'We want to have a rock 'n' roll band. Do you think you could do it? Do you think you could do a stadium?' I was like, 'Yeah man, we do it all the time.' We're like, 'Oh my God, I think we're gonna do the Super Bowl!' And then it'll be, like, Madonna or Katy Perry or somebody like that ... I actually got really hammered at this party in France once and got to meet the dude that does the Super Bowl thing, and I was like, 'I don't even want to do the Super Bowl! I used to want to do it. Now I don't want to do it anymore!'"
