Coldplay have this week been announced as the most streamed band in the world by Spotify, who revealed that the group have more than five billion streams to their name on their service alone. Most recent album 'A Head Full Of Dreams' accounts for more than a billion of those streams, whilst the rest are made up of other albums and songs in the group's back catalogue.
Music Week say that Coldplay's most streamed tracks are 'Adventure Of A Lifetime' with 322 million, whilst 'Hymn For The Weekend' takes 289 million.
The group decided to mark the achievement by releasing a 'Live From Spotify London' EP to the streaming service, which features stripped-back versions of some of their most popular songs.
The news comes after the band were crowned British Artist Of The Year at the BBC Music Awards, beating the likes of the late David Bowie to the accolade.
