China have lifted a ban on the music of Lady Gaga.
The 'Applause' singer is celebrating the upcoming release of her latest album 'ARTPOP' in the country, after vulgarity caused the ban on her songs.
The 27-year-old star announced the news on Twitter on Tuesday January 14, writing: "I'm so excited!!!! The Chinese Government Approved ARTPOP to be released in China with all 15 songs! Next I hope I can come to perform! (sic)"
The China's Ministry of Culture has accepted the release and fans were quick to celebrate the announcement saying Gaga's fans - known as 'Little Monsters' - will "always win".
One follower tweeted: "Thx China they have finally realized we're in the 21st century and it's 2014 f*ck censorships & bans, it's a new era, ARTPOP era! (sic)
"We always win, we're little monsters, we have no limits cause we were born this way! (sic)"
Katy Perry and Backstreet Boys were among the artists previously banned alongside Gaga in 2011.
China blacklisted 100 songs which were deemed too rude for fans, as the country waged a war on pop music.
The decision was amid a huge crackdown on illegal downloading and the ministry vowed to keep "poor taste and vulgar content" from the ears of the nation's youngsters.
