Cher has cancelled her tour due to a viral infection, announcing she's been forced to call of the second leg of 'Dressed To Kill' after doctors advised her to take time off to recover.
In a statement she said: "Nothing like this has ever happened to me. I cannot apologise enough to all the fans who bought tickets. I'm so proud of this show. It is my best ever. I sincerely hope that we can come back again next year and finish what we started."
A post on her official website added: "While her progress has been consistent, Cher's doctors have advised her to take more time to ensure and complete and total recovery."
She then took to Twitter to apologise to fans who may have bought tickets.
"I'm SORRY I Couldn't B the 1 to tell you about postponing my tour. I Tried SO HARD 2b Strong enough, but my Will couldn't force my Body time (sic)"
"Let's talk about it tomm. Between gut wrenching Sadness of not being Able 2go on stage, sing, b Silly, & wear new Mackie's & Mike Dying, I'm [heartbroken] (sic)"
A total of 29 concerts have been cancelled which would have seen her go across American and Canada.
Her first run of shows all sold-out and banked Cher a massive $54.9 million.
