Charli XCX has admitted that her early music and material leaves her feeling embarrassed.
The singer put together her first album '14' back in 2007 after receiving a loan from her parents, but nowadays finds that collection laughable, branding it an "experiment" featuring many "mistakes", with tracks that include 'I Wanna Be Darth Vader' and 'Dinosaur Sex'.
Speaking to Stella magazine, she said: "I don't count that as the beginning of my career. But whatever. Everyone did embarrassing s*** when they were 14. My mistakes just live online for everyone to hear."
Following on from this, Charli says that she also feels that her 2013 LP 'True Romance' wasn't an accurate portrayal of her character, because she was still young when making the record and hadn't had chance to figure out who she was.
She explained: "I didn't know who I was and as an artist I felt like I was meant to know.
"I was conscious of trying to be cool throughout making it, and it is a really cool album, it got really cool reviews by really cool people and so I succeeded in my act. But I didn't feel like it was totally me."
