Chaka Khan and Sam Smith are planning a duet.
The 23-year-old singer, Sam, has made no secret of his love for the 'I'm Every Woman' hitmaker and since being introduced the pair have hit it off and are planning to head into the studio together.
Speaking ahead of her show at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London, Chaka said: "Sam Smith and I are good friends and he would have been here tonight had it not been for the fact he has just started his own tour.
"We've been talking and talking and talking for a long time, and we are set to do something together."
The 62-year-old singer/songwriter - who has sold over 70 million records during her career, spanning more than 40 years - confessed their personal inability to manage their own schedules has been the main factor in why they have not yet hit the studio together.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "We even spoke about how he was going to come on stage and we'd sing 'Love Me Still' together, but we will be going to a recording studio very soon.
"But he's as bad as I am, he doesn't know when his good dates are and I don't know when my good dates are to meet and record. But we will definitely get there soon and record together."
