Alongside '…Baby One More Time', 'Oops!... I Did It Again', 'Greatest Hits: My Prerogative' and 'Blackout', 'Glory' has become Britney's joint-highest peaking album in the country ever, and also marks the singer's seventh entry into the UK Official Albums Chart top 10.

She was just beaten out by Barba Streisand who entered straight in at number one with her 35th studio album, 'Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway', which claimed 20,000 combined sales.

Streisand is now only second to Madonna when it comes to chart-topping albums in the UK amongst female solo artists, with seven number one albums under her belt.

Last week's number one record 'Blonde' by Frank Ocean has slipped to number three, whilst Dolly Parton is at four with 'Pure & Simple' and US duo Twenty One Pilots reach a new peak at five with 'Blurryface'.

Biffy Clyro also have cause for celebration following their Reading & Leeds festival sets, as their album 'Ellipsis' has now rebounded from 19 to 10.
