Bon Jovi

Bon Jovi managed to take $259.5 million from concert tours worldwide last year, making them the highest-grossing tour of 2013.

The US rockers beat off competition from the likes of Beyonce, Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift to take the most from being on the road in 2013 after visiting five major continents on their 'Because We Can' tour.

The 'Livin on a Prayer' hitmakers travelled as far afield as Africa, Brazil and Australia on their latest run of gigs in support of their 12th studio album 'What About Now', and they even found time to stop off in London for an iconic summer set at Hyde Park.

Beyonce took second place in Pollstar's annual list by grossing $188.6 million thanks to part of her 'The Mrs. Carter Show' world tour, which continues this year, while Pink was in third with $170.6 million.

Justin Bieber ($169 million) finished fourth in the list, ahead of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band ($145.4 million) and Rihanna ($141.9 million).

Taylor made it into eighth after taking $131 million on her 'Red' tour to North America - where she was supported by Ed Sheeran - as well as Australia and New Zealand.

The 24-year-old stunner will continue to support her fourth studio album, 'Red', by taking her tour to England and Germany later this year for several sell-out shows.

Other notable additions to the top 20 include boy band One Direction ($114 million) and The Rolling Stones ($110.3 million), who headlined Glastonbury festival in Somerset, south west England, in one of the highlights of their comeback tour last year.
