Sir Paul McCartney's wife had a birthday party with a Japanese Beatles tribute band - where her husband got on stage with the group.
The 71-year-old singer took to the stage in Tokyo alongside The Parrots, who are a copycat band, to celebrate Nancy Shevell's 54th birthday on November 20.
The musicians were delighted to have the honour of performing alongside Paul for the Beatles' 1964 hit 'I Saw Her Standing There'.
A source told The Daily Mirror newspaper: "It must have been nerve-racking for them to play in front of one of their heroes.
"It also must have evoked a few memories for Paul. The Japanese lads got the thrill of a lifetime when we all screamed for Paul to join them - and he did.
"It was a real treat for everyone, a brilliant night that we'll be talking about for years to come."
The Parrots - which includes Mamori Yoshii (John Lennon), Takeshi Noguchi (Paul), Akihiro Matsuyama (George Harrison), Teruyuki Matsuzaki (Ringo Starr) and keyboard player Fumiya Matsuyama - are not fluent in English but still manage to sing with a relatively accurate Liverpudlian accent, echoing the band who originated in Liverpool, England.
Parrots founder member Mamori explained: "I first heard The Beatles in 1963, when I was eight.
"I couldn't understand a word, but I still used to sing along."
