Backstreet Boys' A. J. McLean has asked Meghan Trainor if she will do a duet with them.
The 'No' hitmaker performed with the boyband - also comprised of Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough and Kevin Richardson - on a new TV show in the US called 'Greatest Hits' where they did a rendition of 'I Want It That Way'.
And after her performance A.J. asked if she'd consider working with them on a song in the future.
He said: "Meghan, thank you so much for being a part of this amazing experience for us. We're are such huge fans. And hopefully, maybe a duet?"
Singing with the boys was a dream come true for the 22-year-old singer who admitted singer Brian, 41, was her "pop star crush" when she was young and both her and her mum planned on marrying him.
According to the Ceylon Daily News, speaking backstage, she said: "Singing with the Backstreet Boys is definitely a bucket-list moment.
"My first band that I loved was the Backstreet Boys. My pop star crush was Brian. I was gonna marry him and my mum was gonna marry him. That was our husband. The day he got married, I remember we were like, 'Nooo!.'"
The 'Everybody' hitmakers are currently in the studio working on their eagerly-anticipated 10th studio album and recently recorded a song with country music duo Florida Georgia Line.
So there could still be time for a Meghan Trainor/Backstreet Boys collaboration to appear on the album.
