Ariana Grande has had an "emotional" time since sharing her chart-topping album, 'eternal sunshine'.
The 'yes, and?' hitmaker released the collection earlier this month and has admitted letting the world hear her raw and deeply personal lyrics has "re-opened a lot of little and big feelings alike", so she has appreciated the "overwhelmingly loving response" to the songs.
She wrote on Instagram: "i know i have been posting so much (i feel self conscious about that / also would like to keep going / thanking / celebrating !) but i just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart..
it’s impossible to put into words what i’ve been feeling this week. this album is most special to me for many reasons and just holds so much. sharing it has re-opened a lot of little and big feelings alike and it has been an emotional week in many ways !… but your overwhelmingly loving response to it all has made me feel such joyful, human connection and comfort.
just wanted to say i love and appreciate you all more than one can say and thank you again. it is, as it always has been, my greatest honor to grow with you… let us promise to keep going ! (sic)"
The follow-up to 2020’s ‘Positions’ topped the charts in the US and UK.
The 'Thank U, Next' hitmaker hadn't planned to release the new album until after her pair of 'Wicked' films were out.
She explained in a recent interview on 'The Zach Sang Show': “I did not plan to [make new music now]. I didn’t have the goal to make an album.
“I actually was really opposed to coming out with music until after Wicked, either both parts or just one part. I wasn’t sure how I would feel.”
'Wicked' - in which Ariana stars as Glinda - is released in November, and 'Wicked Part Two' is scheduled for release next year.
