Ariana Grande is in no hurry to follow in the footsteps of child star-turned-singer Miley Cyrus and says she isn't comfortable with acting sexy.
Although the 20-year-old singer shares some similarities with 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker Miley Cyrus - such as the same age and beginning their careers on children's TV shows - Ariana admits she couldn't imagine sexing up her image to sell records, because she finds it awkward to behave seductively.
Speaking to FemaleFirst, she said: "I'm not comfortable with showing off my sexuality yet. At all. I'm just not. I don't want to force it, even if it is what's happening at the moment, or even if it's cool.
"I applaud people who are confident enough in their sexuality to do that, but for me personally, I don't take myself seriously enough. And I think you can convey just as much sexiness in the way you sing a song as you can by taking off your clothes."
While she won't be following in the former 'Hannah Montana' star's foam finger-waving footsteps, 'The Way' songstress is a big fan.
She added: "No twerking for me! But Miley is wonderful at it and she's amazing. I think she's the coolest."
Multi-talented Ariana first found fame on Nickelodeon show 'Victorious' and now stars on 'Sam and Cat' for the child-friendly channel, but the songstress was keen to avoid going the bubblegum pop route with her debut album 'Yours Truly', which topped the US album chart earlier this year.
Despite the more mature sound on her R&B-infused record, Ariana isn't in a hurry to grow up, and feels she has found a balance between her TV and music careers.
She said: "I'm comfortable in my age. I don't really feel like there needs to be any massive moment where I make a big statement that says, 'Hey world, I'm grown up now!' Because I'm not really. I'm still discovering things every day, growing up every day, and learning every day. I just want to let the music tell the story and not do anything to detract from it."
Ariana's new single 'Right There' featuring Big Sean is out on November 11 and her album 'Yours Truly' is out now.
