Ali Campbell is still determined to collaborate with Stevie Wonder.
Campbell formerly lead singer with UB40 has worked with countless musicians since he first entering the music industry in the ninteen eighties says Stevie Wonder has continued to be the one major artist to elude him.
Ali now 54 was planning to record a cover of Stevie's song 'Big Brother', but the collaboration never emerged.
He exclusively told femalefirst.co.uk "Stevie Wonder's done several things for me and he's lost them every time! We sent him the track and we got a message saying he'd done the track and played the harp on it and he was gonna send me it but we never got it.
"We were asking for it 'cause we were so excited. I love Stevie Wonder but he'd misplaced it somewhere. But I hope I'll get that back and I'd like to work on something else with him too."
Hitmaker Campbell also declared he would love to sing with Rihanna and newcomer John Newman.
He added: "The new kids coming up I think are brilliant. John Newman is wicked, I'd like to do something with him."
For now, however, Ali is looking forward to performing his own material at the IndigO2 in London later this year.
He told Bang: "I love the IndigO2, I think it's a great little gig ... I don't usually do new material but I'm doing a couple of songs at the Indigo cause they're my hardcore fans."
Ali Campbell performs at the IndigO2 in London on December 6.
