Cheryl Cole and Will.I.am could be getting rather serious after he has been given the thumbs up by the most important person in Chezza’s life - her mum.

Cheryl introduced her Black Eyed Pea to her mum Joan earlier this week, and sources say she was very impressed with her daughters new BFF. Whilst Will added; “I think anybody that will look after her little girl and protect her – after the last few months she has had – is only a good thing in her mum’s eyes.”

So whilst Will and Cheryl are STILL insisting they’re just good friends, Will did work the sentence; “Cheryl Cole, will you marry me?” into a rap and shouted it out to the entire audience of the O2 Arena, we we’re keeping out fingers crossed for now.

Just one final thought though… how annoyed is Ashley Cole going to be?
