Legendary singer Dionne Warwick is avoiding coverage of Conrad Murray's trial because she finds it "difficult to relive" the pain of Michael Jackson's passing.
The doctor's involuntary manslaughter trial began on Tuesday at Los Angeles Superior Court, and the Bad hitmaker's family has been attending the proceedings, but Warwick, who knew Jackson since his childhood, is refusing to tune into the news reports.
She tells Piers Morgan Tonight, "I have not taken to even (sic) watch this fiasco. I think it's very difficult to relive, it has to be awfully difficult for the family.
"I just would hate to think someone would deliberately do something of that nature, take another life particularly this life, Michael. It's very heart-wrenching, it really is."
Warwick also reminisced about her late pal, adding, "He was wonderful, such a giving human being. The first time I ever met him, he was nine years old.
"The group (Jackson 5) had came to audition for Berry Gordy. Michael sat down next to me, this little thing, he says, 'Who are you?' I said, 'I'm Dionne Warwick, who are you?' 'I'm Michael Jackson'.
"(He was) very professional. (He was great), undoubtedly, unmistakably - he had the kind of talent you associate with Sammy Davis, Jr., the ultimate when it came to entertainment."
Murray is accused of administering the fatal dose of Propofol which killed Jackson in 2009. The medic has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter.
