Newly-reunited rockers Van Halen have completed their comeback by performing at a small club in New York on Thursday night (05Jan12).
The band, which last performed in public together in 2008, has re-teamed with former frontman David Lee Roth for a 2012 tour and album, and they showed off the line-up with an intimate gig in Manhattan, just weeks before they are due to hit the road again.
The group performed in front of 250 people at Greenwich Village's Cafe Wha?, a small club which is owned by Lee Roth's uncle.
During the show, the singer admitted he was "more nervous about this gig than I ever would be in" Madison Square Garden.
He was joined by guitarist Eddie Van Halen, his brother Alex Van Halen on drums and son Wolfgang on bass.
Van Halen will launch the new tour and album, A Different Kind of Truth, on 7 February (12).
