Travis Barker has been released from a Sherman Oaks, California hospital a month after surviving a horrific plane crash in South Carolina that claimed the lives of two friends and two pilots. The drummer suffered life-threatening burns from the fire that broke out onboard a Learjet after it failed to clear a runway and crashed on 19 September, and he has needed round-the-clock medical care ever since. The former Blink-182 star was initially admitted to a burns unit at an Augusta, Georgia hospital and he was transferred to the Los Angeles-area medical centre at the end of last month. In a posting on his blog on Thursday, Barker told fans, "I think I'm getting out of the hospital soon. I can't wait to get out of here and be home with the babes. The doctors say I'm healing up quickly and I'm gonna be out of here b4 you know it."Bandmate DJ AM, who also survived the plane crash, returned home to Los Angeles days after the tragedy. He made his first official public appearance playing support for rapper Jay-Z at Hollywood's Palladium on Wednesday night.
