Travis Barker, the former drummer of pop punk band Blink 182 has been seriously injured in a plane crash in the US which killed four people.The musician was travelling on the Learjet flight from South Carolina with his friend, US club DJ Adam Goldstein when sparks started coming from the plane as it attempted to take off at midnight on Friday night before the plane left off the runway and crashed on a nearby road.The aircraft was carrying a total of six passengers but Travis and Adam were the only ones who made it out alive; pilot Sarah Lemmon and co-pilot James Bland as well as Chris Baker, and Charles Still, 25 were all killed in the accident according to The Associated Press.Both Barker and Goldstein are being treated for burns at a hospital in Augusta, Georgia, and a spokesperson for the hospital has said the pair were both in a critical condition. Both men managed to get out of the plane on their own before rescue crews arrived, according to Lynne Douglas, a spokeswoman for the Columbia Metropolitan Airport.Since Blink 182 announced they were going on an "indefinite hiatus" in February 2005 Travis has found fame in new band +44 with his former bandmate Mark Hoppus whilst third member of Blink 182 continues to record with his project Angels And Airwaves.FemaleFirst - Ruth Harrison
