The BBC Philharmonic orchestra’s coming back this year to replicate last year’s fantastic series of ‘Presents’ gigs.
The shows pair the orchestra up with a leading artist to makes something truly unique. Last year they teamed up with dubstep act Nero amongst others. This year they’re looking to repeat the magic by teaming up with The xx and creating celebrations of both the music of James Bond and of jazz legend Miles Davis.
Richard Wigley, General Manager, of the BBC Philharmonic, said: “The return of BBC Philharmonic Presents is an irresistible mixture of collaborations with Britain’s finest artists and producers.
"With the full symphonic power of the BBC Philharmonic’s ninety professional musicians, this is a unique opportunity to bring the highest standard of music making to new audiences in collaboration with the BBC’s national radio networks and BBC North.”
