The Kooks Announce European Tour
New album ‘Junk of the Heart’ out September 12th
Multi-platinum selling guitar-pop band The Kooks will tour Europe this autumn, to coincide with the release of brand new album ‘Junk of the Heart’, out September 12th on Virgin.
The tour kicks off September 30th with a show at Glasgow’s Barrowlands and will take them all over Europe, including performances at Barcelona’s Razzmataz on October 23rd and Milan’s Alcatraz on October 27th.
Written by The Kooks and produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Belle & Sebastian, Air), the 12-song collection follows the band’s chart topping album, ‘Konk’, which debuted at Number One in 2008. Having sold some 3 million records worldwide, ‘Junk of the Heart’ will see the boys reclaim their status as seamless purveyors of characteristically British indie.
The eponymously titled single is due for release on September 5th, and is yet another shining example of The Kooks’ sonic exuberance.
